GLOCK 19 GEN.4 - GBB - BLACK
Brief History – Glock 19
Origins:
The Glock 19 is a compact version of the Glock 17 pistol, designed by Austrian engineer Gaston Glock. The Glock 17 had been adopted by the Austrian military in the 1980s, and the demand for a smaller, more portable version led to the 19.
Launch: Introduced in 1988.
Global Use:
Adopted by numerous law enforcement agencies and militaries (FBI, US police, special forces in Europe and Asia).
Extremely popular in the civilian market for self-defense, police and shooting sports.
It is considered an international standard for modern compact pistols.
The Umarex Glock 19 Gen4 is an officially licensed Glock airsoft replica, produced by Umarex, which faithfully reproduces the real Glock 19 Gen4 pistol, both in appearance and functionality. It is a gas blowback (GBB) model, intended for airsoft games, collection and tactical training.
Construction and materials
Manson (slide): made of metal (light alloy), gives the feeling of realism and produces recoil when shooting (blowback).
Frame: made of reinforced polymer, similar to that of the real Glock model.
Grip texture: the grip is covered with Gen4 non-slip texture, with interchangeable panels to customize the thickness of the handle.
Markings: laser engraved with the Glock logo, series and official inscriptions - identical to the real gun.
Finish: matte black, resistant to moderate scratches.
Technical data
Blowback: Yes - simulates real recoil with each shot.
Caliber / ammunition: 6 mm BBs, recommended 0.20 g - 0.25 g for optimal performance.
Magazine capacity: 19 bullets
Energy: ≈ 1 Joule
Velocity: up to 90 m/s (≈ 300 fps with 0.20 g bullets).
Hop-Up: adjustable (Shoot-Up system included, adjustable with tools).
Total length: 173 mm.
Internal barrel length: 90 mm.
Weight: ≈ 604 g (very close to the real weapon).
Functionality
Firing mode: Semi-automatic
Safety: “Trigger safety” – system integrated into the trigger (like the real Glock model).
Recoil (blowback): realistic, the slide moves back after each shot, locking at the back when the magazine is empty.
Adjustable Hop-Up: allows you to adjust the bullet trajectory for increased accuracy at medium distances (20–30 m).
Performance
Effective range: 20–25 m for precision, up to 35–40 m for general shooting.
Maximum range: ≈ 50 m (with adjusted hop-up and quality pellets).
Reliability: optimized for use with Green Gas in summer; in winter performance decreases due to low temperatures (typical of GBBs).
Ergonomics and use
Compact dimensions make the pistol ideal as a sidearm (secondary weapon).
The modular grip makes it comfortable for hands of different sizes.
Fixed firing ranges (without adjustment), but sharp enough for airsoft.
Accessory mount (front rail) – can support laser, flashlight, etc.
Advantages
Realistic reproduction of the Glock 19 Gen4, officially licensed.
Quality materials (metal + durable polymer).
Realistic blowback, with satisfying recoil.
Weight and dimensions very close to the real model.
Adjustable hop-up for accuracy.
Compatible with most Glock magazines (Umarex/VFC).
Disadvantages
Performance decreases at low temperatures (below 10°C).
Limited magazine capacity (≈ 20 rounds).
Gas consumption is higher due to blowback.
No classic external safety (only trigger safety).
Recommended use
Airsoft skirmish (CQB and medium terrain).
Collectors of licensed Glock weapons.
Tactical training (dry fire, handling).
Cosplay / military/police reenactment.
