CAPTIVATE™ Polarized Blue Mirror lenses

With these lenses, the reflection of blue light (HEV) off water is reduced. Moreover, they equalize the visible light spectrum to help light enter the eye more uniformly. They keep most colors neutral, while enhancing greens, and they reduce glare across reflective surfaces.

Anti-Reflective coating

The anti-reflective coating will eliminate the distracting light reflections on the back surface of your lenses, so it will not bounce back and distort your vision. It also reduces any blur or reflected images on the back surface of the lenses, giving you additional visual comfort.

Lens treatment

Oleophobic coating

The oleophobic coating is an anti-smudge coating. With it you get lenses that have a smoother surface, which keeps dust, oil, dirt, and water from sticking to the lens. A smudge free and easy to clean pair of lenses thanks to this high-performance coating.

Side shields

With the side shields, you can attach additional protection of your vision to your sunglasses. With the side shields on you add extra protection of your vision in the peripheral area, meaning protection from fragments and the like, which you are not given without the side shields on due to the flat design of the eyewear.

The side shields can also be permanently installed, adding lasting protection of your vision in the peripheral area. Simply add the included plug to make the sides shields permanent. However, be aware that once the plug has been inserted, the side shields cannot be removed again.

ANSI Z87.1

ANSI Z87.1 tested means that the frame and lenses meet or exceed specific safety ratings set by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), who has developed a certification system for safety eyewear in the US. As an American brand, we test our eyewear to pass a high velocity impact test and a high mass impact test, as dictated by ANSI.

The high velocity impact test demands that the frame and lenses must withstand the impact of a 6,35 mm steel ball fired at 164,6 km/h, while remaining intact. The high mass impact test demands that the frame and lenses must remain intact while withstanding a 500 grams pointed projectile that is dropped down on the eyewear from a height of 127 cm. 

EN.166F

tAn EN.166F test means that the frame and lens live up to a low energy impact standard. The eyewear must withstand the impact of a 6 mm steel ball at 0,86 grams, which is dropped from 1,3 meters at a speed of 162 km/h. The lens must remain in the intact frame and not shatter for it to pass. This is a huge quality stamp when it comes to our performance sunglasses and protective eyewear, as you are guaranteed the same level of protection and quality, as the soldiers of the world demand.
