Type 38 the Japanese infantry weapon since 1905 when the Russo-Japanese war ended. Designed by Arisaka of Tokyo Arsenal, it has since become known worldwide as the Arisa rifle. It is no exaggeration to say that the Japanese army relied on this weapon before the end of World War II, despite the high-class military rifles.
