The Adjustable Locksnapper is able to work on doors with a cylinder projection of as little as 3mm. Made of hardened high-grade steel with a quick and easy on-off action, it has serrated vice jaws for an ultra-secure grip of the cylinder is also supplied in a smart tough moulded storage case.

The adjustable snapper works by exploiting the weakness in the cylinder design which is at the middle where the cam mechanism and retaining screw fix the cylinder in the door.

This is the same weak part for both Euro and Oval cylinders and will break if forced correctly.

WARNING!

This tool will only work if the cylinder protrudes 3-4 mm from the door furniture.The tool also requires 0.25mm around the cylinder to enable breaking.

Trying to break a cylinder without these clearances could result in damage to the door, lock or tool.

Operating Instructions:

1. Fit the correct snapper head to the snapper bar taking care to thread correctly to a suitably tight fit.

2. Place the head of the tool over the cylinder you wish to beack (minimum of 3-4 mm protrusion required).

3. Tighten the bolt on the snapper head with the hex key provided in the kit. Apply pressure to the handle and move up, down, left and right until the cylinder breaks. Remove the broken half of the lock and the metal cam mechanism and any other bits of lock left in the space as that will jam in the lock if not removed.

4. Use the Universal Key to unlock the door and if needed use the keys markings to measure the exact lock size that needs to be replaced.
