The Tokyo Marui MTR-16 G Edition is a gas-powered (GBB) airsoft replica of the AR-15/M4 platform, designed for advanced players looking for high tactical realism, authentic mechanical recoil and stable performance in airsoft scenarios. The replica combines the ergonomics and modularity specific to AR-15 systems with the real tactile feedback provided by a gas-powered system.
Gas Blowback (GBB) Mechanism – Operation and Realism
The replica uses an internal gas-powered system, where compressed gas from the magazine is released into the internal chamber with each shot. This pressure sets in motion the piston and bolt assembly, generating real recoil and simulating the complete mechanical operation of a real weapon.
With each shot, the bolt moves back and forth, and the cocking lever behaves similarly to a real system. This mechanical reaction provides authentic tactical feedback, much more natural than in the case of electric replicas.
The adjustable hop-up imparts controlled backspin to the ball, stabilizing trajectory and improving accuracy, and the internal system is designed for smooth and efficient operation during play.
