Associated Hazards and Risks

Deep discharge (below ~ 3.0 V / cell): may cause irreversible cell degradation.

Overcharge (above ~ 4.2 V / cell): risk of swelling, fire or explosion.

Current above the specified limit: use at currents higher than 40C burst can lead to overheating and damage.

Impacts, perforations or mechanical deformations: can compromise the battery structure and cause internal short circuit.

Extreme temperatures:

above ~ 60 °C → major risk of degradation or fire;

below 0 °C → reduced performance and risk when charging if the battery is cold.

Unattended charging: without supervision and without safety equipment, the risk of fire is real.

Improper storage: if the battery is left completely discharged, connected to the replica or stored fully charged in hot places, its lifespan is greatly reduced.

Safety recommendations

Use dedicated Li-Po chargers with a balancing function, to avoid differences between cells.

Disconnect the battery from the replica as soon as you finish using it, to avoid parasitic consumption and unnecessary discharge.

Charge the battery in a fireproof bag and do not leave the charging process unattended.

Store it at storage voltage (~ 3.8 V / cell) if you are not using it for a long time, in a cool place and away from heat sources.

Check the condition of the battery periodically: do not use it if it is swollen, deformed or has visible defects.
