Associated hazards and risks

Deep discharge (below ~ 3.0 V/cell): may irreparably damage the battery or render it unusable.

Overcharge (above ~ 4.2 V/cell): risk of swelling, fire, explosion.

Current above the 20 C limit: excessive load may lead to heating and internal damage.

Impacts, punctures, physical deformations: these can compromise internal safety, insulation, and cause short circuits.

Extreme temperatures: above ~60 °C → risk of explosion or serious degradation; below 0 °C → reduced performance + risk when charging if the battery is cold.

Unattended charging: fires can occur; the use of a fireproof bag and supervision of the process is recommended.

Improper storage: if the battery is left connected to the replica when not in use, or completely discharged, it degrades quickly.

Safety recommendations

Use dedicated Li-Po chargers that have a cell balancing function.

Disconnect the battery from the replica immediately after use to avoid parasitic discharge.

Charge the battery in a fireproof Li-Po bag and do not leave it unattended while charging.

Store the battery at a charge level of approximately ~ 3.8 V/cell if it will not be used for a longer period; keep it in a cool place and away from heat sources.

Inspect the battery before use: do not use if it is swollen, deformed, has any visible defect or damaged connectors.
