Associated hazards and risks

Deep discharge (< 3.0 V/cell): may lead to irreversible damage and inability to charge.

Overcharge (> 4.2 V/cell): risk of swelling, fire or explosion.

Excessive discharge current (> 20C): may cause overheating and damage to the battery.

Impacts, punctures or deformations: can lead to violent chemical reactions and fire.

Extreme temperatures: > 60°C → risk of explosion; < 0°C → affects charging performance and safety.

Unattended charging: can lead to fire; charging is recommended only under supervision and in a fireproof bag.

Incorrect storage: left fully charged or connected to the replica can lead to deep discharge.

Safety recommendations

Use dedicated Li-Po chargers with balancing.

Disconnect the battery from the replica immediately after use.

Store at ~3.8 V/cell in a fireproof bag, in a cool place away from fire.

Do not use damaged, swollen or deformed batteries.
